Kolan mud
The mud of Kolan is a marshy habitat distinguished by the riches and diversity of the bird world. It is preserved as an ornithological refuge because of its importance for the preservation of biologic diversity.
One hundred sixty three bird species, out of which 66 nest birds, have been noted in the mud of Kolan and surroundings. During the migration and wintering, different kinds of birds take refuge in reeds. Some of them habit on meadows nearby, and some of them on the island nearby. They come to the
